I would really like Android support for MindMeister and Geistesblitz. Right now, I'm using an iPod Touch, but I don't particularly like the Apple devices and I don't want to carry two devices.

We will hopefully provide an Android app soon!
thanks for the official response! looking forward to seeing the final android client
I would also be interested in an android app... if you need any help with a beta tester, let me know.
When will there be an Android-Mindmeister app? I asked this question in the winter of 2009 - 2010, and the answer was Spring or early Summer of 2010. Now we are in late Summer and still no inkling. I have been a loyal Mindmeister user and have recruited others to this application. Now, as of July 2010, Android OS has surpassed iOS in total handset sales and still no word on a Mindmeister app. I'm upset that there has not been any followup on this matter and Mindmeister thought it more important to produce an iPad app before an Android App. You're in the Google Apps market. If nothing else, think of the synergy if you get the Android app done. I'm very disappointed. I don't like the hardware/ software exclusivity being exhibited here.
Hello,
any news on the Android app please? I got the same information about summer 2010.
Is there maybe a beta out there? Would it be based on an existing Android app like http://lifehacker.com/5489095/thinking-space-maps-your-mind-on-android ?
It is really a pity that Android apps are always behind iPhone / iPad ...
Regards,
Niels
I also use an Android mobile device, I cannot understand how Mindmeister doesn't develop an app for us. It's really disappointing!
How about now? It's soon to be Octobre...
Sincer, a paying User.
P.S. Used Device: Nexus One, Android 2.2 of course
Sad that there is no Android App. I've seen a number of threads like this for other apps, and after a certain point in time it seems the frustration becomes too much and people just start migrating to other services that do support Android. I've done it myself a few times.
I hope an Android app is developed soon (including offline support, obviously).
At least some kind of feedback on status would be good for users to know where they stand.
try the mindmap app Thinking space:
http://www.thinkingspace.net/
http://www.appbrain.com/app/thinking-space/net.thinkingspace
i'm using it as a replacement until a native mindmeister app is available. in their latest experimental build they support mindmeister API;
http://www.appbrain.com/app/ts--experimental/net.thinkingspace.expe...
help them reach gold status and give them feedback about it! i'm trying it right now
Thanks Johannes - I had been using thinkingspace, but wanted integration with mindmeister. Didn't know they had built that into the latest version - and it seems to work quite well too - not real time, but it does two way sync, and offline mode, so it is a very viable app.
Sorry Meindmeister, looks like someone beat you to it ;-)
In fact I just bought the Pro version, it wasn't needed to integrate with mindmeister (just gets rid of ads), but as a token gesture for someone making the effort to make this work. I could have paid Mindmeister of course, but they don't have an app to offer :-)
If the mindmeister api proves to be as feature rich as necessary to implement an android client (eg thinking space) then i'm fine with that
i wouldn't be sure that an extra android app would prove to be an economic asset to mindmeister itself - although i too would be glad to pay mindmeister for a native android client!
Hey guys,
Author of Thinking Space here, just to let you know the experimental Mind Meister API integration is being written at the request and help of MindMeister.
It's still early days yet, and I would like to stress that currently the support is *experimental*, so there still might be one or two issues to sort out yet; thanks for your patience!
If you have any feedback, please contact me directly at android@bakachu.com
Thanks!
Charlie
hey charlie!
that's great news - if you wouldn't mind it would be great if you could post in this thread when there are major updates connected to mindmeister!
thanks for your great work!
Can't wait to see this!
Would be great. This is the way thinking works, as you know. I don't always have, or want to have, my laptop, ipad, etc. with me. But, my projects are always at least running in the back of my mind, and my phone is usually in one pocket or the other. What makes your business model unique is that your solution is web-based. But, you need to bring this to the next level or I guess a lot of your customers will move on. Good luck and keep us posted.
Definitely interested in Android support.

Looking forward to have this on my new Android 3.0 Tablet when its available! :)
I have a Nexus One, Android compatibility will definitely influence my decision to become a paid user.
We will release our Android application in Q2 2011.
Please use the 3rd party tool "Thinking Space" (http://www.thinkingspace.net/) in the mean-time which offers a MindMeister integration.
Honestly thinkng space does a perfect job and for now even allow things the mindmeister maps does not allow (like strike through, relation styles, more node style), and the interface is GREAT.
So I would rather see your energy focused on more feature on the online tools and sync engine than duplicating a perfectly working effort that would translate into even more maintenance to do (like the vital multi node feature that is delayed because the IOs app has to be kept in sync.
I would like to agree with Karmik... Thinking space is doing a great job at providing me mobile access to my maps. Please continue to concentrate on other feature requests and let Thinking Space handle the android side of things.
Have you got news about android app?
That's awesome, really looking forward to the official android app!
Hi Oliver,
As it is almost June (so getting towards the end of Q2) I wondered if you had any news on the Android compatible app?
I am due to speak at the Learning and Skills group National conference in June and anticipate using MindMeister as my navigation vehicle throughout the session, it would be great to tell the many delegates that will be there that it is available for Android.
Any thoughts?
Craig
You will here some news really soon.
How soon is really soon? It's been a week!
We will send out information via our newsletter today (can take up to 24 hours to reach all members of MindMeister).
Any news on the Androd App for Honeycomb?
Thanks
Do I need to be signed up to any mailing list to receive updates on the proposed beta android app? Thanks!
From what I can tell, this application is only available through the Android Marketplace. Recently, Research in Motion released a BETA version of the 2.0 Operating System for their Playbook hardware. Among the features that this update offers is the ability to run Android applications through a native Android Player (2.3.3 Froyo). However, in order to do so, the APK file must be converted into a signed BAR file; which is actually quite simple to do.
There is currently a large number of users who are pumping out converted applications left and right, as you can see at the following chart:
http://bit.ly/apk2bar
As an active MindMeister user, I would like to request EITHER the APK for us to do our own conversion/testing; which we understand would be completely unsupported but could report our findings back OR request that you sign your own BAR and offer it up to us for ALPHA testing.
The conversion for APK to BAR is extremely quick and simple, with hardly any work from your developers.
In fact, here is a simple step-by-step guide for them to follow:

Thank you in advance.

How about Kindle Fire support?
+1 for Kindle Fire support. I'm an avid user of Mindmeister and would love to be able to use it on my Kindle Fire!!!
I had been happily using Thinking Space on Android, but unfortunately the MinMeister support got dumped when Mindjet bought out Thinking Space. So I'm using the Mindmeister Android app itself now...
