Geistesblitz to specified map

adding brainstorm ideas via Geistesblitz is one of the best things about Mindmeister. But it is very limiting to have to choose one map as the target. I have several maps that will be updated over a long period of time. Therefore no real "default" map.

Right now the process is very cumbersome:

  • Submit a Geistesblitz via email or browser search add-on to a map called "Default Map". Be sure to note as the first word or two in the text of the Geistesblitz which map the node should end up on.
  • Regularly visit the Default Map and, one by one ...
    ... copy a node
... switch to the map it belongs on
    ... Paste
... switch back to Default Map
    ... Delete

Besides this just being inconvenient and slow, for it to work with team members we would all need to have access to Default Map. This is not doable when team members might be from various client companies who should not see each other's project-related information.

I could understand that it might be an expensive request to be able to customize the browser add-on so that it can submit to a specific chosen map.

But how about email submissions -- could a specific Geistesblitz email address be provided for each map, perhaps containing the map's UID?

thanks for your consideration,

kazar

PS: I searched to see if anyone else has asked for this and could not find anything. Which very much surprises me, and makes me think perhaps I have missed some piece of documenation that explains how to do what I am asking for. In that case, I apologize for posting this as a feature request.

I came to suggest this exactly as expressed above.  I'm now using the Geistesblitz feature daily and would like to define a different Geistesblitz email address for each map.

Thanks,

David

Oh, done.  That's a subtle "like" button.
