I'm just getting started with mindmeister so this might be an obvious thing but I can't seem to figure it out. I created a map but the way the ideas are displayed on the screen, they are too close together. I'd like to be able to spread them out a little bit, but when I drag a sub idea it just pulls it out of the branch that it's in and makes it a sub idea of the root rather than just moving it around a little bit. Is it possible to move around children of a branch?
Thanks,
Matt

We are sorry but the space between sub ideas / child nodes is fixed to ensure a simple outlining of your thoughts. We experimented with many other options and came to this decision to ensure proper exporting, printing and layouting.
I think this is a huge problem. Text looks too jumbled together. If I try to move a node over, it disconnects and attaches to the central node - very bad and it gives me more work. I sometimes need some white space to work in, and mindmeister doesn't provide it and then moves things around! I love the way MindNode works, but it doesn't have syncing capabilities - the main reason I came to MindMeister.
I have to agree Clever One. I only have one complaint about the way that Mindmiester works: I want to be able to move sub-ideas around, or at least control how much groups of sub-ideas take up. They're way too cluttered together right now.
James, when I am working on Mindmeister and I start to move things around, it sometimes feel like I just dipped my hands in sticky honey, and I am trying to move things around to get in order, but, the nodes keep randomly attaching to different things. It can be exhausting to say the least!
