Hello,
I'm trying to convince my team to work together with Mindmeister to follow our projects. But we found a limit that is really disturbing : there seems to have no way to create a link to local files.
We are all part of the same computer network (with Mac and Windows PC) and we stock and share files on our network. To work together with Mindmeister we have to find a way to add a link to a local (network) file. For now you give us the ability to add hyperlink, mail or topic link, but no local file link. Any idea to do so ? Or a trick to use the hyperlink option to do so ? Or a date for implementation of this feature ?
Thank you for your answer (and thanks for your product that is excellent).
Pierre

We are sorry but there is currently no way to link a local file to a mind map as we are an online software solution and can't ensure proper linking on all machines. An easier way would be to connect a Dropbox file which is available everywhere in future updates of MindMeister.
Could it not be possible to accept an UNC-Path with file:// as Prefix.
If a user then f.e. use the Fire-Fox extension Local-Link https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/locallink/ it was possible to go also to lokal files or folders!
