When copy-pasting text from sites or other sources (which I do a lot for my work), nodes become very, very wide. Sometimes, when pasting an entire paragraph, the entire paragraph gets stretched out.
I know it's possible to resize nodes manually, but when the node becomes something like 4000 or more px long and the browser window is about 600 px wide, the resizing will stop at the edge of the visible screen. Then you have to let go, scroll left and do it again and again until your node has the desired width. That's half an hour of scrolling. Additionally, often when editing the node, it will "jump back" to the 4000 px wide version, causing considerable gnashing of teeth and cursing.
It would be a lot easier if pasted nodes have a fixed width by default (like in FreeMind). Alternatively, an option to click right and apply some sort of forced width on the node would be a good fix ("Apply standard width to this node", or something similar).

Yes, Raf, unfortunately pasting a block of text has the result of putting each paragraph on one endless line. They're working on it! (see http://support.mindmeister.com/entries/20415417-paste-wrapped-text-... ... it's "Planned")
Meanwhile here's a workaround. It involves pre-creating a node, populating it with text, manually resizing the node, then copying what you wish to paste & then returning to your map to replace the text in your new node with the pasted text. For step by step instructions see http://mindmeister.zendesk.com/entries/20395418-copy-paste-problem-...
I would also like to vote for an automatic "maximum node width" that automatically restricts nodes width to a user specified value. this would be a HUGE help for end-user speed and efficiency.
Thanks,
